About

John Bryant is a director of film, an actor, a photographer, an editor, and an artist. Most of all, he is a hard worker, a go getter, and will never give up on his dream.

John has been developing his work ethic and skills from a young age. Since he was 12 years old, he has been acting for the camera and on the stage. The first play he performed in was his middle school’s production of “The Little Mermaid”. His first film role was Whamo in “Until the Bloody Reign is Over.” From then on, he pursued theater in high school. He was in several plays and used a lot of his time outside of school to better his acting for the stage. He also took a photography class and bought his first camera. He used it for all kinds of projects, whether for school or for fun. With his best friends, Trace Martin and Luke Edwards, John began to build his filmmaking skills, doing everything he could to learn the craft of filmmaking. They did this by turning every school essay and assignment they could into a video project, as well as writing, acting, and filming things on their own.

John and his friends did all they could to learn how to make films. When senior year ended, Trace and Luke continued in their academic careers and John left for an LDS mission. When John returned, he looked to Utah Valley University to continue to learn more about his passion.

He wants to make a career that leaves a legacy and make films that inspire others to pursue the same passion. John aspires to own his own production company where he has freedom to tackle whatever projects he wants. He wants to finish school at UVU with a bachelor’s degree, and become the best director possible.
